You know, I’ve been helping people grow their Instagram accounts for four years. Before Tree Frog was a business, I was experimenting with all the known methods. Back then, it truly was the wild west and most of the paid services were horribly primitive and unreliable.
Today, things are much better. But customers of Tree Frog and other services tend to have the same concerns. When you use a growth service, are you placing your Instagram account at risk?
Simply: Yes. Whether you disclose your password or just sign up for a service, there are a multitude of ways that you could lose your Instagram account. However, it’s extremely unlikely.
First of all, if you’re dealing with a brand new service or perhaps an individual with a sketchy web presence, there is a chance that your account will be hijacked. Maybe it’ll be deleted out of spite, maybe a dishonest “growth specialist” will take control of it and use it for their own purposes. The good news is that no active growth service would bother doing this. It would be like taking your car to a mechanic and the mechanic taking your car for a high-speed joyride. Does that happen? Yes. But the penalties are severe, and the damage to the reputation of a business would be permanent.
The truth is that all growth services, new, old, top-rated, whatever, all would prefer to keep a paying subscriber than lose one. That means nobody has a vested interest in getting your account banned!
The more common scenario would be a ban due to unauthorized use of the Instagram platform while your account is growing. Some services elude detection, others get detected but, technically, do nothing wrong. It’s a careful balancing act. I am proud to say that Tree Frog has only had one customer, out of thousands, ever banned. That customer was trying to sell steroids and other illegal pharmaceuticals directly through Instagram. In that case, we did get a customer more exposure, enough for Instagram to realize that their account was breaking the law!
Thankfully, if you are using a suspicious service, you’ll get warnings and temporary bans before anything amounting to a permanent ban. I am happy to report that we haven’t seen any infractions induced by use of our service.
Some services no longer require logins, and instead attract masses of bots to your account. This feels safer, but Instagram can still ban your account if they determine that you’ve authorized the illicit activity.
Overall, you are right to be concerned about placing your Instagram account in someone else’s hands. We are always on the customer’s side since bans are awful for everyone involved. You can get banned for using an Instagram growth service, but Tree Frog Social has been operating safely and securely without issue for many years!
